If only Xisea could see how much she's grown and how much she's done throughout the comic!

Now a little time for me to get on my soapbox. It's important to remember that not everyone can do all things at an equal measure. Some people struggle with school, others excel in school but struggle with being social, others are great at being social but struggle with basic tasks. You might criticize someone for being "dumb" or missing something obvious, but it could be that what's obvious to you isn't obvious to them!

Both Cyrus and Xisea struggle with things that the people around them find easy. What they're learning is that it's ok to struggle, as long as you don't get wrapped up in evaluating yourself against others. As someone who has a personal stake in disability advocacy and the neurodiversity movement, it was important for me to show both these characters having a moment where they can appreciate their worth unrelated to anything or anyone else. Not everyone has to be useful in order to be respected. Every person has the right to just be themselves and be appreciated for who they are!
