Every Thursday in the month of October, I'll be updating with special Halloween character illustrations! This week is a bit of a deep cut - Helene dressed as one of her main inspirations, Diane Lockhart from The Good Wife and spin-off The Good Fight.

Diane Lockhart is a top Chicago lawyer in both shows, a staunch feminist and cunning advocate who is also very classy. She's ambitious and stately and good at making arguments. Diane influenced Helene's more public persona - a strong female leader who has a way with words and an unflappable personality. They both also happen to be in a relationship with a guy who's totally their opposite. But Diane is a much more moral and less selfish person than Helene is.

As for the actress behind Diane... Christine Baranski is a very prolific actress, but you probably know her as one of Meryl Streep's besties in the Mamma Mia! movie and its sequel. (Apparently she had a reoccurring role on the Big Bang Theory too?)
